The 17th Annual Scientific Conclave of Nutrition Society of India Nagpur Chapter was organised at the Pharmaceutical Sciences Department of RTMNU in collaboration with the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University recently. The program was kicked off from Dr. Mohan Khamgaonkar Pro VC Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik when he lighted up the traditional lamp.
The others in the program who were present include Dr. A. Laximaiah, Scientist “G” & Head Public Health NINICMR, Prof. A.N. Radha convener, Dr. Shakti Sharma co-convener, Dr. Varsha, Clinical Dietitian, Chennai, Dr. Jasmine Avari, HOD Pharmaceutical Sciences, Ms. Vinita Mehta secretary Nutrition Society of India, Nagpur Chapter, and Dr. Prakash Itankar, Associate Professor, Department Of Pharmaceutical Sciences, who were seen sharing the dais.
The others present at the show include Prof. Sabiha Vali ex-HOD P.G. Dept. of Home Science RTMNU, Dr.Pratima Shastri, Dr. Thakre and Dr. Rekha Sharma who seemed to grace the function. It was Prof. A. N. Radha Convener, NSI Nagpur Chapter who seemed to deliver the welcome address wherein she introduced the theme of the conclave “Appropriate Lifestyle for Optimum Health”. Dr. A. Laxmaiah delivered the Keynote address on the said theme. The India State-Level Disease Burden study report was also presented under the title “India: Health of NationStates” that talked about the estimated proportion of all deaths found due to Non-Communicable Diseases getting boosted up to 37% in 1990 to 62% in 2016. The program invited students, research associates and experts from city and outside the state and Nagpur. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
