Husband kills wife for having extramarital affair in Maharashtra

The police have said that Jyotsna had an extra-marital affair and Nilesh had caught her in a compromising position with her lover on three occasions.

Yavatmal: Vadgaon Jungle Police has arrested a 35-year-old man along with his younger brother for killing his wife. These accused were produced in the court on Saturday, from where they have been sent to police custody for about three days. According to the police, Nilesh Banduji Dethe (35), a resident of Pimpri (Buti) village, had married the deceased Jyotsna (28) in May 2015. They have two children Vaibhav (8) and Swara (6).

The police have said that Jyotsna had an extra-marital affair and Nilesh had caught her in a compromising position with her lover on three occasions. He had also warned her and told her brother about her “misdemeanor”. On Friday, he saw his wife with her lover and then thrashed her.

He took her to a nearby dam where he again thrashed her. She fell and remained unconscious. Police have said that Nilesh then called his younger brother Nitesh. Meanwhile, Nilesh called Jyotsna’s brother Vithal Kavadu Tikhat, a resident of Ranwad village in Ralegaon tehsil of Yavatmal district.

53-year-old man allegedly killed his wife over suspicion of infidelity

Vithal Kavadu Tikhat started for Pimpri, while the two brothers took Jyotsna on a bike to Ralegaon. Vithal Kavadu Tikhat met Nilesh and Nitesh on the way near Metikheda village. And these three took the unconscious Jyotsna to a private doctor in Ralegaon. But the doctor there was out of the station, due to which all three took Jyotsna to the government hospital in Ralegaon, where she was declared brought dead.

Vithal Kavadu Tikhat has also lodged a complaint at the Ralegaon police station. The incident has been handed over to the Vadgaon Jungle Police Station area, as the incident took place in its area.

PSO Pawan Rathore is investigating. Meanwhile, in another case, a 53-year-old man allegedly killed his wife over suspicion of infidelity. And then later committed suicide in Amdi village of Parsivni tehsil between 8 pm on Thursday night and 5.30 am on Friday morning.
