After this, the Assistant Commissioner has visited Kulkarni’s house. And saw his kitchen garden where vegetables like cabbage, spinach, fenugreek, and brinjal are planted.

Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner has claimed that around 50,000 to 60,000 families in Nagpur have started producing manure from household waste.

This step of all those families will not only help in keeping the city green but at the same time, the amount of waste generated in the entire city will also come down significantly.

Ram has said that Nagpur Municipal Corporation is also making efforts to encourage citizens to make compost at home. If a large number of citizens participate in this project, then they will be able to grow organic vegetables at home.

The civic body has given recognition to Chanchal Bhide, Suhasini Gade, SM Katkwar, Richa Hemant Chaudhary from Vinayak Nagar, Avinash Tembhurne, Hemraj Walade, Vidhula Vinchalne all of Vasant Nagar and Ratna Kandhari of Pandey Layout for producing fertilizers using wet waste.
