Nagpur: At a time when the cases of coronavirus are increasing day by day, Doctors in the city are also seeing some patients of other viral fevers, Especially in people who are causing similar symptoms as in the case of infection with the Omicron virus variant, But even now the test has come negative in RT-PCR.

According to Dr Namita Bhandarkar, who runs a small clinic in Narendra Nagar, the symptoms are almost the same – Body aches, sore throat, cold, and fever – But some patients test negative for coronavirus. Patients of fever, cough, cold are in almost every house.

Pediatricians have also noticed a sudden increase in viral fever in children. Dr Vijay Dhote has said that in the last two-three weeks, the cases of fever in children have increased tremendously. Of the approximately 10 children who were tested, 4-5 have been tested positive for corona. This also means that the flu virus is still circulating and not all cases of fever are coronavirus.

General Physician Dr. Satish Kuthe has also told that for the last three days about 10,000 tests are being conducted daily in the city, Of which only about 3,000 are positive. About 7,000 people have symptoms of viral fever that is not corona.

Infectious disease expert Dr Nitin Shinde said this could be an indication that the city is heading towards the coronavirus peak in the next few days. He has entered week 4 of the growth of the coronavirus. He is sitting on the top. Yet the hospitalization remains under control. Some admitted patients have accidental coronavirus and are not sick at all.
