Bawankule says BJP-SS will win over 200 assembly, 48 Lok Sabha seats in 2024

Also while talking to the media at his residence in Koradi, Chandrashekhar Bawankule has also said that former CM Uddhav Thackeray is in a "confused state of mind" since losing power in the month of June last year.

Nagpur: Bharatiya Janata Party Maharashtra president Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Friday expressed confidence that his party, in alliance with Chief Minister Ekant Shinde-led Shiv Sena, is going to win at least 200 assembly and all 48 Lok Sabha seats in the 2024 elections.

Also while talking to the media at his residence in Koradi, Chandrashekhar Bawankule has also said that former CM Uddhav Thackeray is in a “confused state of mind” since losing power in the month of June last year. “It was he who sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to shift the refinery from Nanar to Barsu. He also did the follow up of the project. His MLA from the area is also supporting the project. Now they have taken a U-turn and are opposing the project by being in the opposition. We should listen to the voice of the public but it is not appropriate to do politics on this issue. The interest of the people is more important. If they are properly told about its benefits, they will not oppose it.”

Accusing the Thackeray-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of migrating many mega projects like Vedanta-Foxconn and Tata-Airbus to other states.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule denied any threat to the BJP-Shiv Sena government

The Bharatiya Janata Party chief has also said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi have completely failed to follow up during their two-and-a-half-year tenure. “Their case is like ‘sau chuhe khake cat chali haj ko’. Sending workers to Barsu to create disturbance is dirty politics.

Chandrashekhar Bawankule denied any threat to the BJP-Shiv Sena government on the apprehension expressed by Agriculture Minister Abdul Sattar whether he would continue as a minister. “We are 164 in a house of 288 today. We have started preparations for the 2024 assembly and general elections. We are working as a government and strengthening the party at the grassroots level. We will provide the kind of government and leadership that the people expect. The MVA has no chance in both the elections till 2029.”
