Nagpur: In a very unique protest, Maha Vikas Aghadi leaders raised slogans against the ruling party with scarecrows of both chief minister Eknath Shinde and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and they have also been accused of completely failing to protect the ‘standing crops’.
Describing both chief minister Eknath Shinde and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis as useless scarecrows, opposition leaders have claimed that the six-month-old state government has been rocked by a series of scams.
He also accused the government of turning a blind eye to Governor B Koshyari who made very derogatory remarks about Chhatrapati Shivaji and other great leaders of the state.
On the last day of the Maha Vikas Aghadi MLA session, slogans like ‘Governor became vegetable vendor’, ‘Shunt Governor, Save Maharashtra’, ‘Chor Hai Chor Hai Governor Chor Hai’ were also raised from the Vidhan Bhavan premises.
The agitators waved black caps and also demanded that the inactive scarecrows of Maharashtra be removed at the earliest.
Despite exposing corrupt state government ministers involved in land scams
“Scarecrows are erected in agricultural areas to protect crops. The purpose is to prevent birds from eating agricultural produce. The state also has two scarecrows in the form of chief minister and deputy chief minister.” Leader of the Opposition in the Council Ambadas Danve said.
