GVF takes initiatives to make environment safe

During the campaign also, members of the Green Vigil Foundation interacted with citizens on various environmental issues like Adopting green living practices, reducing carbon footprint, climate change, Global warming, need for energy conservation, and adopting sustainable lifestyle.

Nagpur: On the occasion of World Environment Day, Green Vigil Foundation (GVF) has conducted a civic outreach campaign on the theme ‘Only One Earth’ for the same year at Ambazari Garden and Garden of Maharajbagh.

During the campaign also, members of the Green Vigil Foundation interacted with citizens on various environmental issues like Adopting green living practices, reducing carbon footprint, climate change, Global warming, the need for energy conservation, and adopting a sustainable lifestyle. Along with this the members also presented various posters, placards, and banners with much-needed messages on the environment.

Surbhi Jaiswal, team lead of Green Vigil Foundation, has also said that the global temperature has increased by 1.10 degrees Celsius in the last 100 years and this process is continuing at an alarming rate. Globally, too, the Paris Agreement has been ratified to restrict temperature rise to below 1.50C or at least 20C.

Contribute in tackling global warming and climate change

However, there is a great need for every citizen to contribute to achieving the same goal, And along with this, today’s campaign is also a very small step in the direction of making people fully aware of the current climate crisis and the ways in which By which they can also contribute in tackling global warming and climate change.

Green Vigil has also celebrated World Environment Day week in different parts of the city by conducting extensive door-to-door campaigns from 30th May to 4th June. The Green Vigil team of Sheetal Choudhary, Bishnudeo Yadav, Kaustav Chatterjee, Surbhi Jaiswal, Mehul Kosurkar, Sujay Kalbande, Paras Jangade, Shriya Jogey, Ashwini Dable, Deepak Prasad, Danashree Agre, Sakshi Mulekar, Tushar Deshmukh, Trupti Bangadkar and Shubham Yerkhede has worked very hard to make the week-long campaign a success.

Dr Shweta Gahukar and Dr Kirti Dubey have also joined the same campaign along with the students of Sevadal Mahila Mahavidyalaya.
