Uddhav Thackeray should exercise restraint while talking about Modi: Chandrashekhar Bawankule

Let us tell you that talking to the media at his residence in Koradi, Bawankule said that Thackeray has become addicted to power like King Dhritarashtra of Mahabharata.

Nagpur: A day after Uddhav Thackeray targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Jalgaon speech, Bharatiya Janata Party state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule has warned the Shiv Sena (UBT) chief to exercise restraint.

Let us tell you that talking to the media at his residence in Koradi, Bawankule said that Thackeray has become addicted to power like King Dhritarashtra of Mahabharata.

Thackeray cannot match Modi in his lifetime and because of this, he should not make similar statements against the PM. He should desist from repeatedly targeting the PM. And Thackeray’s attacks against Modi also show that he is afraid of him. Next year, when Modi’s storm hits Maharashtra, Thackeray will be blown away. Bawankule said.

Bawankule said about this that no leader should insult the leadership of another party by making personal remarks in public places, Such things are against the culture of Maharashtra. “More than 150 countries have accepted the leadership of PM Modi. Thackeray should be humble while speaking about the PM. They should not forget that in 2014 and 2019 their MPs and MLAs were elected in the name of Modi. No matter how many such alliances are formed, they will all fly away in the Modi storm,” Bawankule said.

Criticizing Thackeray for asking Pakistani nationals to get Shiv Sena certified

Also claiming that many leaders and workers of Thackeray’s army are completely deserting him, Bawankule said that Thackeray himself was responsible for the disintegration of Shiv Sena. “Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis treated Thackeray like a brother. Most of the time, the works suggested by him were taken up on priority as compared to the works pushed by the Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs. But they made an unholy alliance which is responsible for their present condition. He forgot that there was a time when he used to describe Modi as the best leader of the country.” Bawankule said.

Criticizing Thackeray for asking Pakistani nationals to get Shiv Sena certified, the state Bharatiya Janata Party chief termed it unfortunate. “It seems he has no faith in the Indian people. The people of India and Maharashtra have seen how he abandoned the ideology of Hindutva. This is the reason why everyone in his party is abandoning him and his son. He says that Pakistani citizens know who runs the Shiv Sena. After all, isn’t this an insult to Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray?” he asked.
