HOD accused of sexual abuse arrested from Balaghat

Nagpur: Head of the Department of Computer Science, Rakesh Gedam, Dada Ramchand Bakhru Sindhu Mahavidyalaya, After going underground for almost a week, he was arrested from Balaghat in the state on Friday. Because on the date of 29 April, the offense of molestation was registered against him after the second-year student complained of sexual harassment against him.

Although the police were also chasing him, Rakesh Gedam was completely successful in running away, While the workers of Shiv Sena’s youth wing had threatened to start agitation on this matter. And with this, a day after the meeting between Shiv Sena youth wing leaders and CP Amitesh Kumar, Rakesh Gedam has been apprehended even though he has not been traced at all for a week.

Pimpalkar has appealed to the students of other institutions

It is also learned that Amitesh Kumar had issued an ultimatum about 24 hours ago to nab him without fail.

Along with this, the leader of Shiv Sena’s Mahila Yuva wing (Yuvati Sena) Ashwini Pimpalkar has also said that he has also made preparations to hold a demonstration with all the students demanding the immediate arrest of Rakesh Gedam.

According to Ashwini Pimpalkar, the students, especially the victims of Gaidam, were becoming increasingly upset over the delay in arresting him. He has said that the students who came forward to report this harassment, felt extremely insecure believing that the matter was getting too lax and that she would be completely denied justice.

Ashwini Pimpalkar has also appealed to the students of other institutions to come out to report sexual harassment against academic bias. And they have also been supported by Rural district president Sonali Vaid, Priti Kakde, Yuva Sena district president Vikram Rathod, Anurag Larokar, Nilesh Tighare, and Bablu Rokde.
