In Nagpur acid attack victim shares video clip of husband with accused

Nagpur: In a fresh twist in the acid attack case, it has come to the fore that the victim had shared an objectionable video clip of the accused woman to some people through social media platforms. A few days ago, a woman and her two-and-a-half-year-old son were injured in an acid attack in Vinoba Bhave Nagar.

Sources in the police department have also said that the victim had also seen some video clips of her husband along with the accused woman while visiting her husband’s cellphone.

She also sent those clips to some of the relatives of the accused, including a minor, on whom a case of driving a two-wheeler has also been registered, while the accused threw acid on the mother-son duo. The minor was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board a day earlier. Although the video clip angle was not included in the police record at all, the sequence of events has been confirmed by senior officials.

This fact has also come to the fore in the intense interrogation of the accused and others. Sources have also said that the issue has not been placed on record to make the acid attack case indisputable. “The police have included all those issues under investigation which will help in getting justice to the acid attack victim,” said an official on the condition of anonymity.

Victim’s husband had a crush on the accused before marriage

The accused, who is currently in police custody remand, was also furious after learning that his video clip had been shared by the victim. Sources have also said that there was a lot of controversy between these two women regarding this issue as well. It is also learned that after watching the clip, the acid attack victim has also wondered “how her husband got attracted to a woman who was less beautiful than him”.

The accused had also called the victim to meet her with the offer of sharing more details about her husband’s extramarital affairs. And when the victim was going to a meeting, then the accused threw acid at her. The victim’s two-and-a-half-year-old son was also with her and there were injuries around his eyes as well.

The victim’s husband also had a crush on the accused before marriage. But the accused had rejected his proposal as well. Shortly after the marriage, the young man again started meeting the accused woman.

It may also happen that the husband has made a video clip and stored it in his cellphone, which is later received by his wife. Police sources have also said that the accused said that he was made to feel very wrong after seeing his personal video clip which was shared among his relatives.
