Man who threatened GF in GMCH returned, caught by police before ‘attempt to commit suicide’

Nagpur: After being arrested on Thursday, 28-year-old Vicky Chakole has revealed that he had returned to the GMCH (Government Medical College and Hospital) on Wednesday only to see his estranged girlfriend for the last time. And luckily for Vicky’s girlfriend, a 24-year-old paramedical intern, whom Chacole tried to shoot on the date of November 22. The man could not muster the courage to enter the Government Medical College and Hospital at all and left the spot.

On November 22, Vicky had tried to shoot his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot outside the Government Medical College and Hospital Dean’s office after exiting the e-library.

The police officer has also said that Vicky also worked with the fire protection team of a very popular television serial in Mumbai. According to preliminary interrogation of Vicky, he had bought this gun from Mumbai. Vicky had returned to Nagpur to meet his ex-girlfriend. It was Vicky’s intention that they should either come with Vicky or kill him and then end his life too.

Fear of being caught

After being introduced with the help of Facebook in the year 2019, Chacole and the intern were friends till the month of January this year before breaking up. He had made it feel like he had left her for another man and then forced him to spend too much on himself.

Vicky has also said that the time he went to Medical Square once again on Wednesday, he only wanted to see his ex-girlfriend before ending his life. However, the police officers have also said that they were still carrying a shotgun and 1 live cartridge with them. And it also appears that he wanted to enter Government Medical College and Hospital but he was afraid of getting caught. Vicky left after waiting for a long time just near the gate of Government Medical College and Hospital.

He used the mobile phone of a food delivery boy to pick up a friend from the gate of Government Medical College and Hospital. Because of this, the policemen of the crime branch went to him. The Jeetendra Thakur, sub-inspector Baliram Jhakhar, and Crime branch team of assistant PIs Mayur Chourasiya had zeroed in on Vicky when he was on his way to Nagpur railway station to end his life. The crime branch team, which handed over Vicky to Ajni police, completely succeeded in nabbing Vicky after this operation of 2 days under Addl CP Sunil Phulari and DCP Chinmay Pandit.
