Nagpur, physical classes from class I to VIII closed in rural areas again

No one-time reopening date has been given by the civic and district authorities, however, these classes will continue only in online mode till at least the date of 31st January.

Nagpur: In view of the steady increase in the cases of coronavirus, physical classes for classes I to VIII have been suspended once again in Nagpur rural and urban schools with immediate effect on Wednesday.

It is also believed that the ongoing COVID vaccination campaign for the 15 to 18 age group is believed to cause high school students to attend individual classes. The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and the district administration are also running campaigns on the school premises.

In the order of the civic chief Radhakrishnan B, it has been said that further orders regarding the re-opening of physical classes will be issued after the date of 31 January. Classes IX to XII will continue as per the existing norms.

According to the orders of the state government, colleges and non-agricultural universities will also remain completely closed for physical classes till the date of February 15.
