As the city continues to go for a lockdown, we see something really strange coming from the people of Nagpur. The difficult times are yet to go but despite making things normal, there are many who are seen adding the woes amidst the COVID-19 lockdown. They want to keep the wounds added by indulging into all the rot activities which should be avoided during this testing time. The recent busting news of the gambling den at Kamptee Road seemed to be the classical example on this.
As per reports, teh Zone 4 Police Team was seen seizing a high profile gambling den, which has been operating at the Kamptee road lawn at Yashohara Nagar Police Station. As per reports, the Police have arrested eight people along with recovering a whopping cash of 25.70 lakh INR and a BMW from the said area. The accused in this case include Kripal Singh, Kulvinder Singh Kulwant Surme of Shubham colony, power grid square, Surjan Pal Singh Oberoi of Teka Naka, Kuljit Singh Sukwinder Singh Multani of Kamal Square, Devendra Madhukar Tiple of Ashok Nagar, and Harshpal Singh Garuvinder Singh Batta of Bairamji Town.
The others include Amit Ajay Kakkar, Ranjit Singh Manjeet Singh Multani of Kapil Nagar and Avneet Singh Satnam Singh Bhatia of Guru Nanakpura. The gambling den has been functional in Oberoi Palace located at Automotive Square based at Kamptee road since past few years. As per reports, the accused were caught red handed when the police attacked them. The reports also suggest that this is the seventh such incident that took place in the same location ever since the lockdown was announced.
