Early LIfe: Nana Patole is an Indian politician born and brought up in Lakhni, Bhandara. He was born on 5th June 1963 in Lakhni.
Education: He did his basic education from his hometown. He has done his masters in social work from Manohar Bhai Patel, Sakoli, Distt. Bhandara. He comes from a farmer’s family.
Career in Politics: Since his young age, he was active in politics working for the rights of farmers and the downtrodden people. His political career started with becoming active in the late eighties and in the year 1990 he was appointed as the member of Bhandara Zilla Parishad from the Sangadi Zilla Parishad Constituency, in Bhandara district working for three terms at a stretch.
While he remained active in his movement seeking politics, he joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in the year 2009 and remained active serving the party and works assigned to him. He even contested the elections on BJP ticket from Bhandara – Gondia Constituency for the 16th Lok Sabha in May 2014. The very same year, he was appointed as the member of the Standing Committee on Science & Technology, Environment & Forests on 1st September and since then he was serving in the said domain. However, in 2017 he resigned from the BJP and even from Lok Sabha with his difference with party leaders.
On 11th January 2018, he joined the Congress Party and later was given the position of Chairman for Kisan Khet Mazdoor Congress considering his background of farming. Besides, he also has an interest in social services and cultural activities and has been active in Gondia Districts and several other places in the state.
Personal life: Talking about his personal life, he is married to Mangla and the couple has two kids.
