Over 1.3 lakh students to appear in Nagpur University exams from May 22, officials said

The officials of the Nagpur University examination section have said about this that the undergraduate examinations are going to start from the date of 22nd May while the postgraduate examinations will start on 29th May.

Nagpur: After an inordinate delay in the announcement of summer exams, and once again postponing it after protests by some student bodies, Nagpur University has now rescheduled its final year papers to start from the date of 22nd May. In which more than 1.30 lakh students are going to appear.

Nagpur University is also going to organize a workshop for the officials of the examination centers including invigilators regarding the measures to be taken while conducting the examination

The officials of the Nagpur University examination section have said about this that the undergraduate examinations are going to start from the date of 22nd May while the postgraduate examinations will start on 29th May.

“We have already displayed the revised time table of more than 400 exams out of about 950 to be held in the next few months. These will be conducted at 133 centers spread across Wardha, Bhandara, Nagpur, and Gondia. Out of more than 1.30 lakh candidates, 1.07 lakh are going to appear for UG courses while 23,000 are going to appear for PG courses,” officials said.

University has constituted eight flying squads

Nagpur University is also going to organize a workshop for the officials of the examination centers including invigilators regarding the measures to be taken while conducting the examination. “They will be exposed to various aspects to deal with, Like what should they do if they find examinees indulging in malpractice during the paper. Along with this, steps to be taken in case of delay in question paper distribution. There will be an invigilator in each of the 133 centers to ensure smooth conduct of the examination,” officials said.

The university has constituted eight flying squads, which conduct surprise checks at various centers to prevent incidents like mass copying. A women’s team is also going to participate in this.
