Its been five days since the city mayor Mr. Sandeep Joshi was attacked with three bullets on her vehicle and it created all buzz in the media. The Chief Minister who was present on those days in the city has even asked the Crime Branch Nagpur to investigate the matter and bring down the culprit so that the perpetrators can be easily booked and put behind the bars. It was on 17th December when the mayor was returning with his family friends from outer ring road in Nagpur when to unidentified gunmen from behind came in bike and fired on him.
It did broke the side and back glass of his official vehicle which he was driving on his own. Since it was late at night, he asked his driver to leave and took the car or Forerunner on his own to catch the surprise party thrown by his close friends and family. It was around midnight when he was returning home and was attacked by the gunman. Soon the news spread like a wildfire and the police started the investigation.
However, despite the passage of five days the police seem clueless and would continue to remain the same. The police have checked the CCTV camera footage and have checked the other electronic surveillance. However; the police is yet to receive any lead in this case. As per the police, the CCTV cameras installed as the tool booth failed to clearly capture the photos of the bike and did not even indicate the registration number as well.
