Police will do DNA test of two children of Prajapati couple

Nagpur: The City Police is mulling over the DNA test of two children found with Yogendra Prajapati and his alleged wife Rita. He had just been arrested in the early hours of Saturday from a train going to Kota in Rajasthan.

The Yogendra Prajapati couple, who were sent to police custody till November 19 by the court on Sunday, was part of a gang of child lifters and sellers. Who sold Jiten Nishad, about eight months old, to a childless couple for about Rs 2.50 lakh. And with this, the team of CP Amitesh Kumar has busted the gang and so far six people including three women have been arrested.
The Yogendra Prajapati couple were also living in Chikli Layout since mid-October with two children and were presenting them as a ‘family’. And with this, they kidnapped Jiten after befriending his family for a few weeks.
Court is hearing arguments in the Kotwali case for framing of charges
Shweta Sawale, alias Shweta Khan alias Ayesha, arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Balaghat, was also taken on remand by the court till November 19, when she was produced along with the Prajapati couple. And along with this Shweta has also been booked twice before and in a similar case last year she was arrested by the Kotwali police.
The court is also hearing arguments in the Kotwali case for framing of charges. And quite excited by the lax action and shoddy investigation of the Kotwali police, Shweta had masterminded another child theft in the city.
Vinod Patil, the senior inspector of Kalamna police station, which has registered the latest crime, has also said that the police will try to find out the real identity of the two children who were found with the Prajapati couple.
