Sample collection stalled at many centers due to Covid infection in staff

Some covid swab collection centers are lying closed in this city, and some others are dealing with the shortage of staff, There has been widespread coronavirus infection among health care workers and the front line.

In one of the centers in Hazaripahar, testing for coronavirus was strictly prohibited as all the employees had tested Covid positive. An employee of KT Nagar UPHC has said that only rapid antigen test will be done. Many staff are fully positioned for vaccination. They don’t have enough staff members to conduct RT-PCR tests at all.

Decrease 42 percent in daily testing

As the cases of coronavirus continue to rise, The number of infected patients is believed to be very high, But due to crippled facilities and reluctance among citizens, the testing of covid has come down.

In the falling district, there has been a decrease of about 42 percent in daily testing on Thursday. Urban testing figures have always been much higher than the number of tests in rural areas. The test had reached a high of around 13,884 on the date of 22 January. On Thursday, it has come down to just 7,600.

This district has done more than 2.64 lakh tests, In which 6,100 are included in rural and more than 2.03 lakh in city. Of these, over 56,000 people have tested covid positive for a TPR of about 21.18%.
