The parents have also decided to stage a sit-in protest at the Constitution Square on Monday morning. The parents also demanded that their children be admitted to schools within a radius of 3 km from their previous school.

Let us also tell you that while addressing the press, Chandrapal Kolhe and Raju Amle, along with other aggrieved parents, have said that the school did not give prior information at all. And have called them to inform them of the closure in the month of April. “We kept seeking the principal’s time to discuss the issue but were not allowed to meet him,” Kolhe said.

The parents have also said that after contacting the education department, new schools have been allotted to the children. But these schools were far away from their residence. “Some of us are single mothers as their husbands passed away during the Covid pandemic. They will not be able to send their children to distant places,” he added.

The parents have also said that they have been asked to meet Fadnavis to resolve the same issue.

Mohan Gaikwad, who runs the school, did not even give the reason for the sudden closure. “It’s their problem, not mine. All the students have been admitted to other schools. RTE students should approach the government or the education department,” he said.
