Shiv Sena workers vandalize OCWL office in Nagpur

Nagpur: Shiv Sena workers protest against the supply of contaminated and very low-pressure water on April 16. On that date, there was a lot of vandalism in the OCWL office in the area of ​​Pachpauli. The OCW has also lodged a complaint against these miscreants at the Pachpauli police station.

A video of Shiv Sainiks vandalizing Orange City Water Pvt Ltd office went viral on Monday. And Union Transport Minister and city MP Nitin Gadkari had also expressed deep displeasure over the private company’s failure to ensure uniform water supply across the city.

In this viral video, it is shown that a delegation of about a dozen Shiv Sena workers had reached the Orange City Water Pvt Ltd office carrying party flags. And then also raised slogans against the private company for supplying contaminated water.

Manoj Sahu, in charge of Shiv Sena North Nagpur, said in a memorandum submitted to the OCW in Pachpauli that on the date of August 21, 2018, and November 24, 2021, complaints have also been made regarding water crisis in Sanyal Nagar, Manav Nagar, Shende Nagar, Awale Nagar, Bajri Layout among others. Along with this, despite complaints, no effort has been made at all to close the source of contamination, As a result of which the residents of the above areas are also forced to consume very much polluted water.

Lashed out at a senior officer and damaged the computer

He has also told that the Water Works Department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation is ensuring this water round the clock in the areas of Civil Lines. However, the women of North Nagpur are also forced to fight fiercely among themselves for this pot filled with water.

Along with this, the officials of Orange City Water Pvt Ltd have also tried hard to pacify the agitators. But he also allegedly vandalized the office a lot.

In the scuffle, he also lashed out at a senior officer and damaged the computer and the air cooler.

Although a complaint has been lodged by the officials of Orange City Water Pvt Ltd against the unknown agitators, the police of Pachpauli have completely failed to take any action so far.
