worst civic sense

All these constituencies are represented by the City Congress Party President Vikas Thakre (West Nagpur) and former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis (South-West constituencies).

Since December 2017, the nuisance detection squad has arrested around 19,893 shopkeepers and 20,061 residents of these areas for creating civil disturbances.

Nuisance detection squad Commandant Virsen Tambe has said that the nuisance detection squad team has kept a watch on the railway stations, market areas, and bus stops, to create civil nuisance other than anyone throwing and spitting garbage.

Nearly 1,39,457 violators have been fined around Rs 15.30 crore since the nuisance detection squad came into existence in December 2017, despite instances of interference by political parties.

The areas of both Mangalwari and Laxmi Nagar also include some posh areas including Chhaoni, Deo Nagar, Khamla, and Raj Nagar.

Most of the violators were caught dumping garbage in public places, And then this is followed by encroachment on footpaths, stocking of construction materials on roads, footpaths and urinating in open spaces, data compiled by the nuisance detection squad shows.

Implementing covid-appropriate behavior

The residents of the Dharampeth area also lack civic sense. Because around 18,169 residents were caught by the nuisance detection squad for creating a civil nuisance.

Lakadganj and Satranjipura zones have performed better than the difficult areas of the city. In these areas too, the nuisance detection squad team punished 9,855 and 9,157 citizens respectively for causing civil disturbances.

According to the rules, the civil police charge a fine of around Rs 100-10,000 for such acts. Spitting in the open is fined Rs 100 while urinating in the open is fined Rs 200.

According to the action report of the nuisance detection squad, the maximum punitive action has been taken in the year 2020, When he punished about 62,066 Nagpuris and collected a fine of about Rs 50.34 lakh. In this calendar year, till the date of 18 December, it had caught about 44,561 citizens indulging in civil riots and also collected fines of more than Rs 6.66 crore.

Nuisance detection squad team has also been implementing coronavirus appropriate behavior in public places across the city since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in the city.

From the date of June 5, 2020, to December 23, 2021, the civil police caught about 42,470 citizens roaming without masks and collected a fine of about Rs 1.95 crore.
