800 meters of wire seized in anti-electrocution operation near Pench, 2 people arrested

Nagpur: During the campaign against electric shock on Saturday, the Forest Department has arrested two persons near Pench. And the electric wires have also been confiscated from their fields.

Under the Pench Tiger Reserve (PTR), this very massive search operation has covered about 30 villages, In which about 15 special teams have been thrown out to find out the illegal power cables, Due to which some animals have also died.

According to an official statement, an anti-trap and Anti-electric shock campaign were carried out by Pench Tiger Reserve Maharashtra in about 22 villages of Pauni Range and about six villages adjoining Devlapar Wildlife Range. There were also about 11 teams in Pauni and the remaining four teams were also in Devlapar. All these teams also included members with different specializations, Similarly, ensuring that he was not only equipped to comb the area, But also used to see illegally hidden and laid wires.

Matter was transferred to MSEB

All these teams also included a forest guard and five members of the special tiger protection force. His familiarity with the topography of the region also greatly facilitated this operation.

During this campaign, about 800 meters of naked wire has been confiscated. After registering the Panchnama, this matter has also been transferred to the MSEDCL department for further action.

Junior Engineer S Ghadge and ACF MN Parab, A Bhagat, RFO JR Tayde, P Babde were part of the operation.

In a similar anti-electric operation on the date of January 16, the employees of Devlapar Wildlife Range had also seized a wire in section 496 of Savra village of Forest Division of Nagpur, belonging to Seikh Faruukh Pathan. Subsequently, the matter was transferred to MSEB for further processing.

Pench employees are also working jointly with MSEDCL and regional employees.
