TB patient died in Gadchiroli was Coronavirus positive, the 1st death in May

Officials clearly confirmed on Monday that the person was ill with TB and had died during treatment.

Nagpur: Vidarbha region on Monday reported its first coronavirus death in the month of May. A 44-year-old tuberculosis patient who died on Sunday in the Gadchiroli district has tested positive for coronavirus.

Officials clearly confirmed on Monday that the person was ill with TB and had died during treatment. With this, the coronavirus toll of Vidarbha has gone up to 21,772. Gadchiroli’s toll has increased to 773.

Gondia, Amravati, Akola, and Bhandara have continued their zero-Covid tenure. The daily test count has come down to 1,127 due to Sunday being a holiday on May 16. In Nagpur, 216 tests have been conducted, of which 204 were in the city alone. None of them have tested Covid positive. Two covid patients – both from Nagpur city – recovered on Monday. At present, 11 covid patients are being treated in this district. Of these, nine cases are from Nagpur city and one each from Nagpur district and another state. All 11 are in home isolation.

Chandrapur: Due to the recovery of solitude on Monday, the number of active patients has increased to four. During the last 24 hours, no new covid patient has been found out of 39 samples tested. With this, no death has been reported during the day. The coronavirus caseload has remained unchanged at 98,940, While the total recovery has increased to 97,396. The toll remains unchanged at 1,567.

Yavatmal: In the Yavatmal district, no one has died and no new coronavirus patient has been reported during the last 24 hours. Due to this the death toll has not changed in any way. An active covid positive patient is undergoing treatment at the Covid Center.

Wardha: After the recovery of three patients from Covid, three have been left as active positive patients. Because no new case has come up in any way in the 56 investigation report on Monday. The toll and caseload remained unchanged at 1,351 and 58,116 respectively, while the recovery has increased to 57,150.
