“Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior” has been earning good at the box-office since Day 1 of its release. The opening weekend went well and the movie left “Chhapaak” behind in the box-office collection. Well, the movie must now reach the followers of Shivaji Maharaj too! To make this sure, Ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis has written to the CM.
Devendra Fadnavis recently wrote a letter to the CM Uddhav Thackeray to declare “Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior” tax-free in Maharashtra. The movie features Ajay Devgn in the lead role of Tanhaji Malusare who was the military leader of the Maratha army. The 17th Century leader of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Maratha Empire Founder) was a great warrior who fought bravely at the battlefield. Fadnavis praised the warrior in his letter to the CM. Fadnavis feels that the movie should be tax-free and be available to all to watch. Tanhaji’s bravery is a good example for everyone and if movie is made tax-free then everyone can watch it and get motivated.
The warrior who fought bravely lost his life in a battle at Sinhagad. The followers of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj are in large numbers in Maharashtra and the movie must reach them. One would be able to restore the memories of the great history of Maratha Empire. The movie “Tanhaji- The Unsung Warrior” also features Kajol and Saif Ali Khan. Saif Ali Khan is playing the role of an antagonist in the movie. So far, the movie has collected approximately Rs 80 crores.
