Tigress hunted in Chanda from electricity wire

This year, this first case of the tiger's death has come out. Forest workers have also started the investigation by registering this criminal case.

Chandrapur: On Monday morning in the fields of Chalabardi village of Bhadravati’s forest area a female tiger was found dead. The postmortem of female tiger findings has concluded that this tigress was poached with an electrified wire.

This year, this first case of the tiger’s death has come out. Forest workers have also started the investigation by registering this criminal case.

This matter came out in front of everyone when a villager found a dead body lying on the footpath of the farm on the road of Chalabardi-Konda. A team led by RFO (Range Forest Officer) Bhadrawati Range Haridas Shende reached the spot.

Along with this, it has come out in the investigation that the tigress, about three years old, was hunted with the help of an electrified wire. And it is also being feared that this tigress has been killed due to being hit by an electric wire installed in the field. So that wild animals can be completely prevented from entering the fields.

Claimed veterinary doctors

But its dead body has been removed from the place of poaching and thrown on the trail of the farm. The body parts of this dead tigress were intact.

The body of the tigress has been taken to the forest nursery located at Ordnance Factory Chandrapur for postmortem. A team of veterinarians led by Dr. Ravikant Khobragade, Officer of Veterinary Wildlife, has also conducted the postmortem of the dead body. Sources have also claimed that veterinary doctors have also found a trace of current on the left leg of the dead cat.

During the postmortem of the dead body, Member of Maharashtra wildlife board Bandu Dhotre, Assistant forest conservator (tendu) Nikita, Shende, Divisional forest officer Prashant Khade, and PCCF representative Mukesh Bhandarkar were also present. Then later the remains of the tigress have been burnt in the presence of witnesses.
