AAP will contest all seats in Nagpur civic polls
Maharashtra Aam Aadmi Party in-charge Deepak Sangla, state convener Ranga Rachure, and Vidarbha convenor Devendra Wankhede have told the media that the party is going to contest all-around 156 seats under the NMC's jurisdiction.
Nagpur: AAP is going to contest the Nagpur civic polls this time after deciding against it in the 2017 elections. Such an announcement has been made on Friday at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, where more than 300 new workers joined the party led by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal.

The office-bearers of the Aam Aadmi Party are very excited after the recent very good and spectacular victory in the Punjab Assembly elections also. Where the party crushed many big players like Congress, Akali Dal, and Bharatiya Janata Party. Recently, Kejriwal and the newly elected Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann were also in the city for a function.
Sangla and Rachure have said that they are going to contest the election with full force and have been preparing for it for the last several years. And instead of throwing mud at rival parties, Aam Aadmi Party will only raise basic issues like water, education, health, and corruption. Their biggest focus will be to meet the basic needs of the people well. They will repeat the Delhi model of development here in Nagpur itself.
Self-confidence has increased after impressive victory in Punjab
With this, the party had already started identifying potential candidates from each ward and many people have shown great interest. Along with its innovative plans, the party has also promised to provide “transparent and corruption-free governance” to the citizens.
He said that Aam Aadmi Party’s city secretary Bhushan Dhakulkar said that his self-confidence has increased a lot after a very impressive victory in Punjab. During his door-to-door visits to various regions, he realized that the citizens are deeply dissatisfied with the ruling system. In the last almost 15 years, the rulers have failed miserably in collecting the development tax and have made only false promises. He will tell the voters only about the Delhi model of development where he has brought a complete revolution in the education and healthcare sectors.
In urban and rural areas, many BSP and BRSP officials and prominent workers have joined Aam Aadmi Party under the leadership of former BSP city president Vinod Patil.
