For the civic body of our city called NMC, it is still a bad time as many schools in the city belonging to the body are on the verge of shutting down as we see the high court ordering the Civic authority either to implement the pilot project with revised schemes or shut them out. Once the High Court gave the directives to the civic body, they have tried to start three of its closed schools but the apathy of these schools continued.
They were not able to provide the students with the basic amenities and facilities that made the High Court intervene. It said that the venture of reviving the school is nothing but an eyewash for the court as they can continue the school with the required changes as suggested by the authority. The parents were seen getting disappointed all thanks to the callous attitude towards the administration.
As per reports, the NGO called Akhil Bharatiya Durbal Samaj Vikas Sansadhan has given a petition in the court about it. Once the hearing was complete, the High Court HC on February 8th, 2019 was seen directing the civic body – NMC to restart the closed schools with all the facilities or face the tough time. As per sources, the education officer of the Municipal Commissioner, the officers were seen surveying the closed schools located in the outskirts of the city and then included in the pilot project but despite all the efforts, the initiative remains futile.
