Chandrashekhar Bawankule plans to build party on Bharat Jodo Yatra route
Accusing the state Congress leaders of hijacking the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the MLC has said that it has failed to respond in any way Because the party has neglected the grassroots workers.
Nagpur: Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Maharashtra BJP president, announced on Thursday that he is going to start party building in the state on the lines of the Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.
While talking to the media, he said that probably many Congress workers are going to join BJP after his visit to these places between the 8th to 13th December. “I will travel from Solapur to Hingoli and then to Shegaon. There will be no rally like Gandhi, but I will talk to people on various topics and will be in all the districts for 14 hours for organizational building. After my visit, you will see that there will be a huge exodus from the Congress and its workers will join the BJP.”
Accusing the state Congress leaders of hijacking the Bharat Jodo Yatra, the MLC has said that it has failed to respond in any way Because the party has neglected the grassroots workers. “There is a lot of unrest among Congress and NCP workers and they are approaching us. If Gandhi’s rally had really made an impact, his workers would not have left the party. While he was in Nanded, I was inducting his party workers into the BJP in Mira-Bhayandar. In 2024, you will see that Congress and NCP will not find suitable candidates to contest the assembly elections.”
Taking aim at Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray’s demand to remove Governor BS Koshari for making “adverse remarks” on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Chandrashekhar Bawankule has also questioned why he and his son are joining hands with Gandhi. Whoever was repeatedly insulting freedom fighter Vinayak Sawarkar.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule advised Thackeray to take up good issues
“We do not support his (Koshyari’s) comments on Shivaji Maharaj, but you too should leave the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) after Gandhi’s remarks. You will never do this because you have already left the Hindutva ideology. Even Balasaheb Thackeray would never approve of this kind of behavior by you and son Aditya.” Chandrashekhar Bawankule said referring to Thackeray.
Chandrashekhar Bawankule advised Thackeray to take up very good issues and also said that he should learn from Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, “Whoever roamed all over the state in the extreme Covid-19 pandemic for the welfare of the people”.
“Thackeray has become restless after losing power. They should also feel that they are now in the opposition and should behave responsibly. If the opposition points out good issues instead of similar topics, then the government will respond. If this behavior continues, then all the remaining MLAs and MPs will leave their army. In your two-and-a-half-year rule, you have not met any of your elected public representatives and have not acted on their demands,” Chandrashekhar Bawankule said.
