Doctors condemn ‘lack’ of infra facilities at NEET-PG centers
Issuing a very strongly worded statement on the media, the Federation of All India Medical Association has alleged that many candidates ranging from rude staff to severe lack of infrastructure had been reported by many candidates and should be probed by the authorities as well.
Nagpur: Federation of All India Medical Association has pulled up the National Board of Examination (NBE) for conducting NEET-PG, Which was conducted on the date of 21st May without proper facilities at the examination centers. The association has also accused the employees of indecent behavior.
Issuing a very strongly worded statement on the media, the Federation of All India Medical Association has alleged that many candidates ranging from rude staff to severe lack of infrastructure had been reported by many candidates and should be probed by the authorities as well.
The media statement signed by the Federation of All India Medical Association president Dr Rohan Krishnan, Dr Hareesh Pathak (general secretary), and Dr Amit Yadav (vice-president) said that it is “shameful” for the National Board of Examination to “charge exorbitantly” and yet not provide proper facilities at all at the centers.
NEET-PG is conducted by the National Board of Examination, unlike NEET-UG which is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA).
Examination should be postponed for some time
FAIMA also said in a press release, On the day when the temperature was recorded as more than 40 degrees Celsius, the fans were also not working at all in the centers on the same day. It also claimed that only a few centers had very poor sanitation facilities and that there was “very poor conduct of supervisors towards even qualified doctors appearing for tests.”
The criticism of the Federation of All India Medical Association has come in the wake of the already very long-standing tussle between the Ministry of Health and several junior doctors, Those who wanted that the examination should be postponed for some time. Despite all his efforts, The junior doctors who served as the first line of defense during the war on Coronavirus were not able to convince the authorities at all. And the exam was conducted as per the schedule on the date of 21st May.
He has also demanded that the authorities should look into this matter immediately and take action. The Federation of All India Medical Association has also demanded that the answer keys of the examination be released immediately.
