First case of Omicron was reported in Akola district on Monday
District Akola has also reported one death due to coronavirus on Monday. A 60-year-old man from the village of Rohna near Dahihanda has died during treatment.
Nagpur: District Akola recorded its first case of the Omicron virus on Monday. Genome sequencing results of a woman who returned from Dubai. Which was found to be coronavirus positive on the date of 18 December, was also found to be positive for the Omicron virus variant. Officials of GMCH in district Akola also say that the woman is asymptomatic and her condition is fine now.
District Akola has also reported one death due to coronavirus on Monday. From the village of Rohna near Dahihanda, the 60-year-old man has died during treatment. This person was not fully vaccinated at all. He was also having very serious health problems. This was the third death in district Akola and the fifth in Vidarbha in the month of December.
This region has recorded 40 new coronavirus cases, Out of which 32 were from district Nagpur alone. Even before this, on the date of September 2, more than 40 cases had come out in the same area. This means that after 115 days, 40 covid cases have come out in the Vidarbha region. However, the recovery count is still intact. A total of 11 covid patients have been cured in the day. The recovery rate of the Vidarbha region is still 98 percent.
Overall, 158 covid patients are being treated in the Vidarbha region and 104 in Nagpur alone.

The administration has received 638 investigation reports in this district. Out of which, 3 (two male and one female) have been found positive.
Amravati: No new case has come out in this district, No new recoveries, and no coronavirus deaths mean that the number of active cases under treatment in the district has remained stagnant at 6.
Chandrapur: This district has scored 0 in terms of detection, recovery as well as casualties, keeping the active score of coronavirus at 5 on Sunday.
Bhandara: In the last 24 hours only 96 tests have been done in this district. All these were negative. There are a total of 60,109 cases in the Bhandara district at present.
Gondia: This district has reported no new covid case in the last 24 hours and another 0 days with the recovery of the patients. Only 39 tests were done. All results were negative.
Gadchiroli: A total of 764 tests have been conducted in this district in the last 24 hours. All these were coronavirus negative. 7 coronavirus patients are being treated in this district.
