In Vidarbha tests drop to below 16,000, 1,450 positive

A total of 15,522 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours. With around 1,450 of them testing positive, the test positivity rate has touched almost 10% on Monday, Which is the highest for the region in a few months. Experts have predicted that up to 20% of samples may test positive in the Omicron virus wave.

The number of people recovering from the Vidarbha region stood at 199 on Monday, In which 158 were included from Nagpur alone. The number of patients under treatment has increased and has increased to 6,858. More than 150 patients are under treatment in all the districts except the Washim district.
This district has conducted 9,852 tests in a day, and around 971 of them were positive. There are 4,158 patients under treatment in the city. In this district out of 971 patients of the day, 792 covid patients came from Nagpur city (NMC), 117 covid patients came from rural and 62 from other states/districts.
Akola: In this district 57 new cases of coronavirus have been found out of 698 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. This has taken the caseload to 58,320. One patient has died on Monday. While two patients have fully recovered. A total of 413 patients are undergoing treatment in the district.
Chandrapur: In the last few days, there has been a steady increase in the cases of coronavirus. On Monday, 95 new cases of covid have been registered and two have been cured.
Wardha: Out of 91 investigation reports in the district on Monday, 22 new cases of covid have been found, Due to which the total cases have gone up to 49,680 and active cases to 227.
Amravati: Out of 884 samples tested in this district, fifty-six new cases of covid have taken the district’s caseload to 96,723 on Monday.
Yavatmal: 75 new cases of covid have been registered in this district on Monday. But no one has died due to coronavirus. The district’s toll remains unchanged at 1,788. The daily positivity rate is 7.56%, the test positivity rate is 9.22%, and the mortality rate is 2.44%. There are 1,730 beds available for coronavirus patients in this district.
Washim: 12 new cases of covid have been reported in the last 24 hours, While 1 patient of covid has been cured. At present, there are a total of 41,862 cases, In which 41,143 patients have been cured.
Buldhana: On Monday, 46 new covid cases have been reported. This has taken the caseload to 87,859. A total of 182 patients are undergoing treatment in the district.
Gondia: Out of 697 tests conducted in the last 24 hours, 79 new cases of covid have come out in the Gondia district. Five patients have been cured in the district in a day.
Bhandara: 140 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours and 15 of them have been tested covid positive. The coronavirus caseload has reached 60,316.
Gadchiroli: 22 new cases of total covid have been reported in this district on Monday, While three covid patients have been cured. At present, 166 patients are under treatment in Gadchiroli.
