Man who challenged Bihar SP on social media again arrested in Nagpur
In the month of September last year, Mohd Tanveer Asgar was picked up from Momimpura by the team of the Crime Branch Inspector Pradeep Rayanawar after a tailor informed him of his presence.
Nagpur: Mohd Tanveer Asgar, 35, The man who detonated a hand-made bomb at a rival’s house and challenged the Bihar SP on social media platforms was arrested on Monday. Tehsil police arrested him from his wife’s residence in Momimpura. Mohd Tanveer Asgar, against whom there are also about six very serious crimes, a firearm, and three live cartridges have also been recovered from him.
In the month of September last year, Mohd Tanveer Asgar was picked up from Momimpura by the team of the Crime Branch Inspector Pradeep Rayanawar after a tailor informed him of his presence. Mohd Tanveer Asgar was also accused of hurling a bomb at a rival’s house in Bihar’s Bhagalpur to avenge his father’s murder in 2017. Along with this, Mohd Tanveer Asgar is also known as a hardcore criminal, who had now escaped from police custody on the date of 17 May before being caught for the second time in Nagpur.
While trying to brutally kill rivals by throwing a bomb inside his house in Bihar in the year 2017, Mohd Tanveer Asgar had also challenged the Bhagalpur SP on Facebook to nab him if he could. The Nagpur police team handed over Tanveer to Bhagalpur police in the month of September last year after forgetting him from the house of Mominpura, his girlfriend-turned-wife.
Firearms and cartridges had been placed under pillow
Recently, Tanveer escaped from police custody while being taken to court from Bhagalpur Central Jail. He had also fled to Kolkata by borrowing money from a friend and then later reached Nagpur by train to be with his wife.
The Police Detection Wing team of Tehsil led by constables Yeshwant Dongre, Shambhu Singh Kirar, assistant sub-inspector Pramod Shaniware, sub-inspector Parsuram Bhaval, and others under senior inspector Trupti Sonawane was completely successful in neutralizing Mohd Tanveer Asgar in the early hours of the day. Along with this, the police team of Tehsil surrounded him before entering his residence. And the firearms and cartridges had been placed under the pillow where Tanveer was resting.
According to the sources of the Tehsil police, Mohd Tanveer Asgar will once again be handed over to the Bhagalpur police.
