City Police Invites Entries on Digital short film on ‘Social Distancing’ to Create COVID-19 Awareness

With the current lockdown due to the COVID 19 pandemic, we see the City Police leaving no stone unturned to keep things under control. They are seen coming out with one initiative to the other to create awareness about the virus among the citizens of Nagpur. Now, they have embarked upon with a new initiative asking for entries from the people in the area of film-making. They have been invited to create short stories on social distancing on the eve of the digital short film festival organised by the Nagpur Police.

Talking about the initiative, the Police Commissioner Nagpur, Dr Bhushan Kumar Upadhyay informed that this is a competition, which includes digital short films of one or two minutes giving the message on the said subject. The registration forms are available online and it will be accepted from May 16 to May 22. The other terms and conditions of the short film making contest include that it should not be vulgar and should be able to play in various video player apps. 

As per reports, the participants are open to make the short films in Hindi, English or Marathi. The duplicated video content would be out-rightly rejected, while there are three cash prizes for the same including INR 21000, 15,000 and 11,000 as the best three films. While the online screening of the films will be displayed from May 23 onward. The City Police team will put the videos on social media platforms on May 24.
