Nadda accused former CM Uddhav Thackeray of backstabbing the BJP
While addressing a huge public meeting, Nadda has also alleged that former CM Uddhav Thackeray has compromised with his party's ideology just for the sake of power.
Chandrapur: BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda on Monday slammed former CM Uddhav Thackeray for backstabbing his party for power. Because he had launched ‘Mission 2024’ to win about 144 seats. Where BJP lost most of the seats in the 2019 general elections.
While addressing a huge public meeting, Nadda also alleged that former CM Uddhav Thackeray has compromised with his party’s ideology just for the sake of power.
He has also claimed that the previous MVA government led by former CM Uddhav Thackeray had completely stopped Ganeshotsav and Dahi Handi events during their rule. He also attacked Thackeray for not handing over the investigation into the alleged lynching of two sadhus in Palghar in April 2020 under pressure from the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
“I don’t want to remind you, but you all know what happened to the sadhus in Palghar. Uddhav, son of the Hindu Hriday Samrat, refrained from handing over the investigation to the CBI under pressure from the Congress and the NCP.” he alleged.
Nadda has also said that Thackeray has forged an alliance with the parties against which his father Balasaheb fought throughout his life. “It was an unnatural alliance between the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena, the Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party and hence, it did not survive. The Eknath Shinde-Devendra Fadnavis government is taking Maharashtra on the path of development.” Nadda said.
