Officials are asking citizens to give their suggestions in writing regarding issues

Nagpur: As Nagpur is all set to host the Civil-20 (C20) meeting this month, The officials are asking the citizens to write down their suggestions regarding the issues which will be discussed extensively by the representatives of the civil society.

There are 14 topics and subjects that will also be considered by the C-20 delegates (see information) and citizens are also free to send their suggestions. And it will be compiled and presented before the delegates as the ‘Voice of Nagpur’.

Suggestions/proposals should be related to Nagpur or Vidarbha. District Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar has said that suggestions and proposals can be sent by individuals and organizations.

It should only be in the English language, and while nothing official has been mentioned at all, the very general rule is that it should be typed rather than handwritten. The proposal will have to be submitted to the District Collector’s office.

C20 takes up issues specifically related to civil society

For this, a special room has also been made in the huge premises of the collector’s office. All proposals have to be submitted to the officers of this room only and not to any other department. The last date for submission is March 15.

TOI had earlier reported about the same initiative by the C20 organizers, through which each host city can also engage with the delegates by giving suggestions related to the issues being discussed. The C20 meeting is also an integral part of the G-20 meetings held across the country.

C20 also takes up issues specifically related to civil society. In Nagpur, it will be organized from 20th to 21st March at a hotel in the city. There will also be a field trip to Sevagram and Pench on 22nd March. About 60 delegates from 20 member countries will participate in this two-day session. The Nagpur session will actually be the inaugural session of the C20.
