Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in her first visit to Gadchiroli to give e-cycles to tribal girls

Nagpur: General Secretary of All India Congress Committee (AICC) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will visit district Gadchiroli to distribute e-cycles to about 10,000 tribal girls on the date of 14th December. And this will be his first visit to the Maoist-affected district.

The program will also be held in the Zilla Parishad ground from 10.30 am to 11.30 am. And Gandhi will fly directly from Lucknow to Nagpur and then to the district with the help of a helicopter.

There are also e-cycles battery-operated machines costing around Rs 15,000 which can run up to 5 km on a single charge. And they can be recharged through an electric connection or pedaling.

While talking to the media in the Gadchiroli district on Tuesday, Maharashtra’s Relief and Rehabilitation Minister whose name is Vijay Wadettiwar. He has said that Priyanka Gandhi is coming here at the invitation of his daughter Shivani, General Secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh Youth Congress. And he had the whole concept of distributing this cycle to the poor girls of the tribal.

This e-cycles is Battery operated will be distributed to college and school girls in remote areas of this district. And Shivani also suggested that due to the lack of public and other transport facilities in this district, donate them only to girls. In district Chandrapur, I would have distributed them, But she has insisted on district Gadchiroli that the former is already an industrial town, said the minister, who was with his daughter.

Around 5,000 e-cycles will also be distributed in Brahmapuri, which is also the constituency of Vijay. Some companies have also donated money as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to purchase products.

Vijay has said that Priyanka Gandhi is an icon for women all over India and Priyanka Gandhi always promotes her empowerment as well as girls’ education. And Shivani has emailed him about his own concept, Which he has liked a lot and he has accepted his invitation at the same time. Despite her hectic schedule ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, where she is in charge of the Congress party, He gave his consent to go to district Gadchiroli.

Due to Gandhi’s first visit, the local unit of the party has also planned huge celebrations across the district. Where she will also interact with elected and activist members.

The minister has said that she was not coming to Brahmapuri at all because of her busy schedule. Just as the former Prime Minister used to do during the tenure of Indira Gandhi, In the same way, the whole country is looking at him with a hopeful eye.
