Nagpur: Three incidental findings have been counted as coronavirus deaths in the city, Its toll has gone up to 5,900 on Sunday. The toll of this district has increased to 10,132.
The dead also included two women – aged 60 and 30, respectively – and a man aged 53.

The 30-year-old woman, a resident of Imambara, was a sickle cell patient and passed away before being shifted to the coronavirus ward of the Government Medical College and Hospital. The officials also said that she had returned from Gujarat. He has said that he was brought in a very critical condition and his woman had already died before reaching the covid ward on Friday night.
A 60-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man from Naik Talav-Bangladesh were both admitted to the Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital. According to officials, the woman was a patient of type 2 diabetes and hypertension with a history of tuberculosis. His SPO2 at the time of admission in Room Air was around 76%. He was admitted on Friday and died of cardiac arrest on Saturday night. His sample has come out positive in the antigen test.
Spike in cases continued
A 53-year-old man has tested positive in RT-PCR on Saturday. Also, his SPO2 on room air at the time of admission was around 97 percent. According to the diagnosis, he passed away due to cardiac arrest in the early hours of Sunday.
Apart from three deaths, the spike in cases continued with 2,285 new Covid cases being reported in the district. This has taken the number of active covid cases to over 10,000-mark for the first time since the date of March 4, 2021. Active covid cases were only 211 on the date of 31 December.
There are also reports of more than 450 patients being admitted or isolated in hospitals in this district. Of those admitted, around 200 are in private and government hospitals in the city.
Along with this, 919 patients of covid have also been cured during the day. This includes 80 from Nagpur Rural, 709 from the city, 130 more from other districts.
