The divisional commissioner has urged the district administration that all the electrical and fire safety norms are being followed and followed well by the private hospitals. To ensure all this, also initiate the meeting with the stakeholders.

Vacant posts of fire protection

Prajakta has also asked the Collectors of 6 districts to release the budget with the help of the District planning council’s (DPC). Corona Fund for these government hospitals to ensure that all safety standards of fire. And electricity are properly met as per the audit requirements.

Prajakta has also asked collectors and technical experts of various departments to consider the installation of a ‘gas detector or alarm’ only after deliberation in this review meeting of the Chief Secretary level. They have also stated that these gas alarms or detectors will be able to detect any accumulation or concentration of any flammable gases, such as oxygen.

Prajakta has also directed the administration of the district to ensure that all private hospitals do not get their ‘B Form’ approval at all only after following all these safety standards properly. Such as conducting mock drills, if the compliance of all these audit standards of fire and electricity is not met at all.

Along with this, he has also urged the administrative heads to ensure that the vacant posts of fire protection officers in local civic bodies are also filled with the help of the recruitment process.

Meanwhile, the data shared by the Fire Department of NMC also shows that in this year only about 45% of the hospitals have submitted their ‘B Forms’, about 27% have done their fire audit, Only about 20% have fire fitness certificates, and about 71% have completed mock drills.
