12-year-old girl dies of Covid for the first time since March 19 in Vidarbha

Nagpur: Vidarbha region on Thursday reported its first death of coronavirus in district Amravati for the first time since the date of March 19.

The doctors of the hospital have told that it is not known at all how he has contracted the coronavirus. The girl is a resident of a remote village.
District Amravati Collector Pavneet Kaur has issued instructions to review the situation and increase pediatric coronavirus vaccination coverage in rural Amravati.
Vidarbha region has also reported 3 new covid cases and one recovery on Thursday. Nagpur, Buldhana, and Washim have reported one new Covid case each, while the only recovery has been in the Gondia district.
As the Vidarbha region, especially Nagpur has been reporting cases of covid for last almost 4 days, In Nagpur alone, with 8 covid patients, the number of patients under treatment has gone up to 15 on Thursday.
Yavatmal district has also continued its zero coronavirus streak for the 42nd day, which is a record.
The number of daily covid tests although improving is still less than around 2,500. Right now the recovery rate of the Vidarbha region is 98.35% while the case fatality rate of covid is stable at 1.69%.
A total of 559 tests have been done in district Nagpur in the last 24 hours. Out of which 1 from Nagpur city (NMC area) tested positive for Covid. At present, 8 covid patients are under treatment in the district.
In other districts of the Vidarbha region, Covid patients are largely in home isolation. The hospitalization has not increased at all anywhere in the region.
