84 new cases were reported in 11 districts of Vidarbha region on Saturday

Nagpur: After registering 100 new cases of covid on Friday, 11 districts of the Vidarbha region have registered 84 new cases on Saturday.
According to the estimates of the Health Department, this surge will continue in the next two weeks and there is a possibility of seeing some more cases. 9 out of 11 districts of the Vidarbha, except Amravati in Nagpur division and Washim in Bhandara division, reported coronavirus cases on Saturday. As cases are pouring in from all corners of the region, these could also be early signs of a new wave of covid.
Altogether 10,224 tests have been conducted in the area. Out of them 84 are covid positive, the test positivity rate is 0.85% which is once again close to the 1% mark. If TPR is more than 1% for 3 consecutive days, then strict restrictions will also apply in this area.
Akola: 527 tests were conducted in this district and out of them only 2 were positive. There are only 57,916 cases of corona in Akola at present. With 56,762 recoveries so far and 1,142 deaths due to covid, a total of 12 patients are under treatment in the region.
Washim: No new covid case has been reported in the district where more than 200 tests have been done. Three patients are still undergoing treatment in Washim district as none of the patients was cured.
Buldhana: Out of 398 tests conducted in the last 24 hours in this district, 2 tests came out to be covid positive in a day. No recovery was reported. At present, there are 87,678 cases of covid in this district, In which 86,986 fully recovered and 676 deaths are included. A total of 16 patients are undergoing treatment in the district.
Bhandara: No new covid case has been reported in Bhandara on Saturday. All the 245 tests conducted in the district in the last 24 hours were negative. At present, treatment of 2 patients is going on in the district.
Gondia: Two new cases of covid have been reported on Saturday. A total of 153 tests have been done.
Gadchiroli: A total of 652 tests were conducted on Saturday, Out of which 1 test has come covid positive. After one covid patient is cured, the total number of patients under treatment has remained unchanged at 9.
Yavatmal: Keeping the death toll unchanged at 1,788 in this district, no death was reported on Saturday. Presently 9 active covid positive patients are under treatment in the district.
Wardha: Out of 336 reports in this district, one positive case has emerged, Taking the caseload to 49,447 on Saturday. No death or new recovery.
Chandrapur: There was a spike of 4 cases on Saturday, taking the total active cases of coronavirus to 12. There was absolutely no report of any recovery or casualties during the day.
Amravati: The cases of covid are increasing continuously in this district for the last three days. After examining 1220 samples on New Year’s Day in this district, 16 new cases of covid have come out.
