Daily new cases remained low in Vidarbha, with only 5 districts reporting Covid patients

Nagpur: The Public Health Department of this state said on Wednesday that district Buldhana reported its first Omicron virus case on Wednesday, At the time a 67-year-old man tested positive for a similar test on his return from Dubai.

District Buldhana Resident Deputy Collector Dinesh Geete has said that the senior citizen is a local resident, Who had returned from Dubai to Buldhana on the date of 3 December. He tested positive for coronavirus on the date of 8th December, After which he was also admitted to a hospital and then his sample was also sent for genome sequencing.

He said that the report which came today has confirmed that he is also infected with the Omicron strain. Gite has said that the patient’s condition is stable and he is also healthy.

The collector has also said that his family members and other close contacts have tested negative for the infection.

Meanwhile, daily new covid cases remained low in the Vidarbha region, only 5 districts reported covid patients in the same area on Wednesday. The recovery was high compared to the cases of the new coronavirus. No death has been reported in any of the 11 districts of the Vidarbha region.

Wardha: No new case of covid has come out in the report of 548 investigations conducted in the district on Wednesday.

Yavatmal: 1 positive patient has also been reported in this district, Due to which the death toll is only at 1,788. There are currently 24 active covid positive patients in the district.

Amravati: The caseload of this district has gone up to 94,204 on Wednesday with 3 new covid cases for the second consecutive day.

Chandrapur: An increase in 3 covid cases has also been seen on Wednesday and with the same number being correct, the active figure of coronavirus has remained stable at 15. All three new covid patients have been found in the original town itself.

Washim: Not a single new case was found on Wednesday, nor has any covid patient been cured. The active case tally in the district is at 2 only. On Wednesday, the district conducted 425 tests.

Gondia: Even after conducting 359 tests by the administration in the district, no new case of covid has come to the fore. Not a single patient has recovered as 3 cases are also active.

Bhandara: This district has conducted 445 tests, but not a single new corona case has been found, while there was only one patient suffering from coronavirus.

Akola: Not a single new case has been reported in this district while 2 patients have been cured. Active cases have come down to 5 while 637 tests have been done.

Gadchiroli: Not a single new case of covid has come to the fore in this district, whereas on Wednesday, 1 patient has been cured. It has 13 active covid patients. A total of 1,304 tests have been done on Wednesday.
