CBSE has changed the way the board conducts examinations from the current academic session. The board exam of Term-1 was conducted in the month of November-December on the basis of half syllabus. In the month of March, Term-2 may be conducted and the marks of both the exams will be used for tabulating the final mark sheet.
A CBSE school principal has said that for now the second half of the syllabus of Term-2 will also be taken care of but some of us are also lagging behind. The study of the syllabus of classes XII and X is completed by the middle of the month of December or the maximum of January, In a normal year. But this year not every student has appeared in offline mode. Due to which many problems have arisen in the conduct of classes. Online classes don’t have the same impact as thought.
Online Mode Difficult
CBSE senior teacher has said that this is far from the truth. To be used means that it has been accepted as teaching. But this is quite different from effective teaching. They can even stand in front of a camera and just walk and complete their own course long enough. But an honest teacher who wants to make sure that every one of her students understands what is being taught will have to put in a lot of effort. And it is also very difficult in online mode.
For every CBSE schools, another concern is the biggest difference in Term-1 and Term-2 board exams. It is stated by a principal that Term-1 was also an MCQ format exam. Whereas Term-2 will also have a traditional subjective-type format. Not all students who are studying are in the habit of writing yet and this will be a big challenge for them. There is nothing like sitting for 2 to 3 hours and writing while running against the clock. For which he is ready. And add to this the problem of completing the syllabus well. It can also be a very good result of poor performance in the exam.
