Come Friday and we have one or the other release. This Friday we have two releases but we would be talking about the one which has more buzz and hype than the other. This is none other than the film called Laal Kaptaan. The film has Navdeep Singh, while it is produced by Sunil Lulla and Anand L Rai under their production banners called Colour Yellow Productions and Eros International. The film has an interesting star cast with Saif Ali Khan and Manav Vij in the lead roles.
The others in the film include Zoya Hussain, Deepak Dobriyal, Simone Singh and Sonakshi Sinha. The story is jotted down by Deepak Venkatesha and Navdeep Singh, while the Cinematography was carried out by Shanker Raman. The film showcases Saif Ali Khan in a never seen avatar who plays Naga Sadhu. The film is inspired by real time incidents taking place around 300 years ago when Naga Sadhu existed in the jungle area and they used to attack the travellers getting gold out of them.
Saif playing the Sadhu has an interesting feature as he lives to take revenge against the maniac rival of his whom he has to kill by any hook or crook. The film is made at the backdrop of the time when East India Company was making its way to India, and British was trying to establish its colonial rule in the country. This was the time when Naga Sadhu existed and has remained the challenge for many including the British as well. If things go well, the film is likely to do well at the box office getting good response from the city theatres as well.
