Minister Thakur assures help to reunite rescued child with mother

Nagpur: The Minister of Women and Child Development Yashomati Thakur has assured immediate help to the 22-year-old mother. Whose four-month-old baby, despite being completely freed from illegal buyers, cannot be returned at all. Out of which one is a government employee.

The child welfare committee (CWC), which has only the most quasi-judicial powers, also functions under the Department of Women and Child Development.

The mother of this child, Bhumeshwari Dahiwale, used to meet the child only once in about nine days.

Thakur has also said that she will try her best to resolve the same issue and will help the mother a lot in getting her child back very soon.

He has said that the appointment of the child welfare committee (CWC) will be done in the entire state within a week or two. And along with other formalities, the process of interview, verification, and verification of new members is also being completed. The minister has said that he will try his best to intervene in the matter of Nagpur also as it seems to be an urgent matter in a way.

According to a senior official of the Department of Women and Child Development, District Nagpur, the names of very new members to be appointed to the child welfare committee (CWC) have also been sent to the higher officials. The officer has said that he has already informed this Ministry about his categorical refusal to take over the charge of the Nagpur area after the complete abolition of the local body even after the request of the Chandrapur child welfare committee (CWC).

The police of Pachpauli had also arrested Bhumeshwari’s husband Utkarsh along with another woman Usha Sahare for allegedly selling the child to a Pendam couple of Umred for about Rs 1.15 lakh. Along with this, Utkarsh had also bought bikes, a home theater system, and other facilities from the money he got from selling his daughter.
