Man fakes wife’s cancer to have sex with GF, booked for rape

Nagpur: A liquor baron from Akola at Beltarodi police station on Saturday following a complaint by a 28-year-old woman, Who has been identified as Sanket Jaiswal, a case of alleged rape has been registered against him. Which he had lured by saying that his wife was “very seriously ill with blood cancer” and that she would not live long at all. Sanket Jaiswal is yet to be arrested.

The police also said that Sanket Jaiswal and the woman were introduced to each other in the year 2020 at a common friend’s birthday party in Lonavala. Then after befriending each other and even exchanging phone numbers, they met again after several days in Mumbai and it was also revealed that they were staying in the same hotel.
Woman had contacted the Mankapur police station
According to a police officer, there was a long conversation between Sanket Jaiswal and the victim. The official said that Sanket Jaiswal had also claimed to have spent about Rs 20-25 lakh on his wife’s illness. Also said that despite his best efforts, his condition was deteriorating. He had also said that his wife would not be alive at all even after a few months, whereas the reality is not like that at all.
The cop has also said that believing his overly fake stories about his wife having cancer, the woman became very emotionally attached to him.
The police officer also said that Sanket Jaiswal, who also has a daughter, had lured the woman to a posh hotel on the outskirts of the city in the month of December last year. And then also in the month of March where they had physical relations too.
Along with this, the woman had initially contacted the Mankapur police station. Then later, the complaint was shifted to Beltarodi as the physical relationship took place in the same hotel which is located in the latter’s jurisdiction.
