Nagpur: One dead, Four injured after house crumbles down in old city
NAGPUR: Though the fear of Covid-19 has taken hold of every individual worldwide, all the deaths are not the result of this global pandemic. Some are even the cause of natural calamities. One such incident took place in Sadar area near Azad Chowk in the old city on Monday where a house collapsed.
One person succumbed to death while four are reported to be injured falling prey to this incident.
The locals heard a loud explosion around 4:45 a.m and this is when they got to know that an old and shaky house came crumbling down in Ashok Hiralal Teksultan.
Those living nearby informed the fire control room as per the fire officer Rajendra Uchake, soon after which fire staff from Civil Lines, Cotton Market and Sugat Nagar came to rescue.
Atleast five people were rescued namely Prabha Teksultan,55, Laxmi Teksultan, 65, Lokesh Teksultan, 22, Rajesh Sirohiya, 22 and 43 Kishore Teksultan out of which Kishore died later at the Mayo Hospital as per sources.
