Bonus to over 24,000 SECR, CRly employees
More than 24,000 railway employees of both Central Railway (CRly) and South East Central Railway (SECR) will benefit from Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB).
Nagpur: More than 24,000 railway employees of both Central Railway (CRly) and South East Central Railway (SECR) will benefit from Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB). A bonus of about 78 days has been announced by the Railway Board on Wednesday.
The Union Cabinet, chaired by the PM of India Modi, has fully approved this decision of this productivity linked bonus for the 2020-21 financial year for all eligible non-gazetted railway employees other than just RPF personnel.
The DRM of Central Railway named Richa Khare has said that the maximum amount payable per eligible railway employee is Rs 17,951 for about 78 days. This will benefit about 1,000 retired employees and more than 14,800 employees of Nagpur Central Railway. At the national level, up to 11.56 lakh railway employees are likely to get good benefits due to this big decision.
Central Railway DRM Richa Khare has also said that the payment of PLB to eligible railway employees is given every year before Dussehra. And this year in 2021 even before the holidays, this big decision will also be implemented. This Productivity linked bonus was paid for the 2010-11 to 2019-20 financial years.
This productivity linked bonus is expected to motivate each and every employee well to work towards the very best improvement in the performance of the Railways. This was the first departmental undertaking of the Central Government of the Railways.
In which the concept of Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) was introduced in the years 1979 and 1980. But the main idea at that time was the railways played a very important role in the performance of this economy as a whole, as an infrastructure support.
This decision was considered desirable for submission of accreditation of Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) as opposed to accreditation of bonus on the lines of Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 with reference to the aggregate of all work of this Railway. And this big plan envisages a review approximately every 3 years.
