In the bid to keep the station clean, less noisy and gree, the Central Railways (CR) is planning to take some extra care. It has embarked upon an action plan, which makes sure to take care of the air quality and the noise pollution in the city around the station which would be kept low. As per the report, the six stations including Nagpur will be awarded awards like the ISO certificates for things like good environmental management and offering the state of art amenities to passengers.
It also has been keeping the station clean and green with good ambiance. One of the plans the CR is considering is to make the premises of the station free from e-waste. These include comprising cables, wires and several other electronic items that are found from different departments often collected in bins. Later, the e-waste can be easily reused, and it will be shifted to the central store based in Ajni and kept for disposal.
Also, with the following directive, the railway board is now taking care of the green tribunal thing by keeping the city prepared for the ISO certification with the help of keeping the environment and eco-friendly. After the southeast central railway (SECR), the Central Railways has managed to get the ISO certification for other stations in the region like Wardha, Sevagram, and Ballarshah, along with Betul and Chandrapur. There are many more things to be done under the plan so that the railways would get the ISO certificates on other things.
