Husband stabs wife to death 15 times for not attending son’s wedding

Nagpur: 60-year-old Ramdas Borikar, who did not want to attend his son’s wedding ceremony at all, He stabbed his 52-year-old wife Chhaya to death in Dhiwar Mohalla of Old Mangalwadi in the early hours of Saturday. Then after this, he surrendered at the police station of Lakadganj.

An enraged Ramdas Borikar hit Chhaya on the head, face, and rest of the body about 15 times as she insisted that she attend their son’s wedding.

Although many relatives also live nearby, Chhaya could not be saved at all because, in the midst of the ruckus created by the stray monkeys on the tin shed of the huts, her screams for help had also been suppressed. Ramdas Borikar used to torture Chhaya a lot earlier also. A family source has also told that their children also started fighting with Ramdas Borikar after growing up, after which they started living separately.

Many neighbors and relatives also got suspicious after being bleeding in front of the house. As they entered, an injured Chhaya narrated her plight to them, even naming her husband as the attacker.

Satish was requesting his father to attend the wedding

Since the year 2017, Ramdas Borikar was also living in a building not far from his old house. There was also a family-owned bookbinding business which was handled by his elder son Satish. Satish was to be married on the date of June 9. The family members had started all the preparations for the wedding.

A family source also said that Satish was requesting his father to attend the wedding. Ramdas Borikar absolutely refused. As the marriage ceremonies were about to begin, Chhaya tried to convince her husband.

Chhaya had gone out to get milk. On the way, she went to Ramdas Borikar’s house to talk to him about attending the wedding. The discussion had gone horribly wrong as Ramdas Borikar started stabbing her, a family source said.

The family source has also said that many relatives had also informed the police at the Lakadganj police station. Ramdas Borikar also reached the police station together. A case of murder has been registered against the 60-year-old.
