IMS Project at Ajni Railway Station to Begin Soon by NHAI
The NHAI or National Highway Authority of India is all set to start the pending IMS Project at Ajni Railway Station. As we see the entire city has been witnessing new roads and flyovers, which seems to be stranded at the moment due to the lockdown. However, with the unlock 1.0 coming under it way we see some good news about the Inter Modal Station or IMS Project work at the Ajni Railway Station. As per the Nagpur Live reports, the it was NHAI project, which seems to have requested the proposal in the form of RFQ or Request for Qualification.
As per reports, the pre-bid meeting was seen at the NHAI Head office at Delhi and the bids for the same were to be submitted by 15th July. As per the NHAI, the project cost would be around 1053.38 crore INR and is expected to be completed as per the systems of engineering procurement construction (EPC) mode in the coming time frame of 2.5 years period. It will have a centralised and integrated facility wherein the entire travel needs would come under one place. As per reports, it will have the facilities like bus bays for private operators, city bus service, the metro station and others.
The metro station is close to its completion while the railway station is expected to be upgraded like a Satellite station. As per reports, NHAI has gained INR 1100 crores for the same while it has got the funds from the World Bank and the rest of money will be raised from the local bodies and State Government. It is expected to house the multi level parking that can accomodate 3600 cars with 400 buses as well along with the commercial shops in the vicinity. Besides, it will have other related amenities including transit platforms (FOBs), internal roads, subways, landscaping, internal and external utility infrastructures.
